What is happening: Flights were grounded at Gatwick Airport in the UK yesterday after drones were used to deliberately disrupt operations.
Mexico: Last week, a drone collided with a passenger jet in Mexico.
Gatwick: The airport is the second largest in the UK. It had over 280,000 arrivals in 2017 alone, and moved nearly 100,000 metric tons of cargo.
Drones: Sightings of two drones shut down the airport for hours and delayed many flights.
Safety: This again called into question the safety of drones and some form of regulation will surely come into play soon.
