What is happening: Another holiday storm is brewing, bringing with it heavy winds, blizzards, and thunderstorms.
Where is this happening: It will likely travel thousands of miles between New Mexico and Michigan.
When is this happening: For the next couple of days, through until Thursday night.
Roads: The roads are set to be busy this year, with the AAA predicting that we will see the most travellers by car since they started recording in 2001. Over 100 million are expected to do so this holiday season, an increase of 4.4% from last year.
Planes: The AAA also predict 6.7 million people flying back home, a 15 year high and a 4.2% increase from 2017.
Warnings: Eastern Colorado, Western Kansas to the Dakotas, and Northern Wisconsin have all been issued weather warnings. The bad weather could include 8-15 inches of snow, and 40-50mph winds. There could be periods of zero visibility to due thick blizzards and heavy snow. Icy roads are also possible.
Thunderstorms: There could also be thunderstorms and heavy rain between Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas to Alabama and Tennessee.
